Florida Marriage Requirements

A Marriage license is issued to both Florida residents and non-residents. Marriage license requirements include:

  • Age – must be 18 years old

  • Couple must appear in person to obtain a license

  • I.D. with the date of birth and photo must be provided (driver’s license, passport, etc)

This requirement may be waived if you choose to attend a premarital class and present a certificate of attendance to the marriage clerk at the time of application. (A Beautiful Florida Wedding can provide this service)

  • If previously married, all that is required is the month and year of termination of the marriage
