A Marriage license is issued to both Florida residents and non-residents. Marriage license requirements include:
Age – must be 18 years old
Couple must appear in person to obtain a license
I.D. with the date of birth and photo must be provided (driver’s license, passport, etc)
For Florida Residents Only there is a three (3) day waiting period from the date of the marriage license issuance. This requirement may be waived if you choose to attend a premarital class and present a certificate of attendance to the marriage clerk at the time of application. (A Beautiful Florida Wedding can provide this service)
If previously married, all that is required is the month and year of termination of the marriage
Licenses are issued immediately and must be used within 60 days from the date of issue
Florida marriage license is $93.50.
There is a REDUCED FEE for Florida residents who elect the PREMARITAL class – which we offer.
Couples living in other parts of Florida can bring a license with them from their home county.
